A little about Anne
I've been teaching in McPherson some ten years. Before moving to Kansas we lived in Fort Wayne,Indiana, which is where I began my china painting experience under Barb Bougher some 20 years ago. I attended the Indiana
School in the summers and enjoyed my studies under these midwest artists: Mary Ashcroft, Barbara Jenson, Paula Collins, Harry Hugar, Grace Patton and
others.
Since moving to Kansas my painting class soon developed, and we decided to become a KCOP club. China Highlights will be hosting the KCOP state
convention this October. There are two other teachers in our club now.
I particularly enjoy the class and club because both are growing. We have a number of younger students, several driving from some distance. One student is beginning a new class in Newton; we hope to eventually spawn
several new KCOP clubs.
It is exciting that now nine of our members are on-line. We are open to new things!
My favorite subject is roses, although I've done almost everything! Flowers seem to be a favorite of my students.
A little about Lenore

She first became interested in porcelain painting as a teenager when she visited a neighbor who painted. Although it wasn't until later in life that she had the opportunity to take lessons, she has been china painting for more than 20 years.
She currently has classes going in Inman and helps with class in McPherson.
